Your weekly wrap-up of all things FEMF

The Forest Edge train has been rolling on, with a whole new plethora of artists heading to Neerim East in Victoria over the Labour Day long weekend. With 25 artists already announced and tickets going on sale on September 9th, this is probably the biggest week of announcements yet.

Kicking things off we have the pop-rock sounds of Skypilot whose EP Years Go By has been getting a heap of traction on Spotify recently.

Joining Skypilot is praise & worship artist Cam Fleetwood Smith as well as Paul Mah and The Drifting Boats. Both of these acts have a strong acoustic/folk sound, so we are are assuming that they could be headed to the acoustic cafe or a similar stage. If that isn’t your style, then you’ll get a kick out of Static State and One Kingdom – both rock bands who have promised to crank up the amps and give FEMF some distortion over the weekend.

Finally – rounding out this weeks announcements are The Afters. The US-based rock group are releasing their latest album entitled Live On Forever one week from now on Friday, September 9th. We’re expecting these guys to get a lot of hype and become a real highlight of the festival.

With tickets also going on sale September 9th, we’re thinking we’re coming to the end of the artist announcements for Forest Edge. This means the countdown is on and FEMF is getting just that much closer!
