Remain Festival Details for 2016

Whoever said that the Christian festival scene in Australia was dead following the declines of Easterfest and Blackstump, clearly didn’t tell the folk at Remain Festival. With a freshly launched website, anticipation is growing around the second iteration of the event, which is being held at Belgrave Convention Centre in Melbourne.

The line-up for this year has been drip-fed to us so far, with Kings, Facades and Wolf + Willow announced so far, we can expect some more familiar faces to make an appearance as well.

With the early bird option now expired, you can now grab festival tickets for $150 via their Eventbrite page.

If you want to find out more about the three artists already announced at Remain, then jump onto our special Spotify playlist here.

Have you met Fatai?

It’s too easy these days to throw around words like ‘songstress’, ‘diva’ and ‘vocalist’. None of which seem to fit Fatai. The Melbourne born singer/songwriter shot to attention following her semi-final qualification on the very first season of The Voice Australia, and then with a series of viral cover videos including Do You Want to Build a Snowman, a cover from the Disney film Frozen to an entrancing version of Chandelier by Sia. If you look hard enough, you’ll even see Fatai cover some NWA and Justin Bieber.

There is no questioning her work ethic, with 39 performances currently uploaded on her Youtube channel and a swathe of tour dates on her website to boot. Fatai is currently touring the United States, performing a series of sold out shows in Los Angeles, with shows in New York and Chicago selling out fast.

If you have yet to have an experience of Fatai, do yourself a favour and have a listen to her debut EP ‘Undone’ on Spotify and permanently add it to your collection on iTunes.

Grave Forsaken Enter Studio

Grave-Forsaken01Perth-based thrash metal band Grave Forsaken are working on new material. Entering their 11th year as a band, they have well become better as a band following the release of the masterpiece that was The Fight Goes On in 2015.

After 11 years and 12 releases, lead singer Vaughan firmly believes that the new album will capture a similar vibe, stating that they are recording it at the same studio as The Fight Goes On and the process has been very positive.
